Mission: The primary Mission of Xplosion Youth Sports will be to assist in the development of all student athletes and their growth not only as players but also as young citizens. This will be accomplished by improving their life skills as well as their athletic abilities. All participants will be afforded the opportunity to improve these life skills through education, friendships, and teamwork and.
Vision: Help our athletes achieve individual success through teamwork, sportsmanship and character building that will guide them both on and off the field and into our community.
Purpose: Our Primary purpose is to allow the children to have fun! Secondly, it is to teach skills and strategies related to sports in a manner designed to develop self-confidence and improve physical abilities and conditioning. We are here to teach the children how to win as a team and as individuals by building character and self-esteem. This kind of winning is not always reflected in the score or the standings but is seen in the development of the child as a player and in the team as a unit. To develop the individual talents of our athletes, it is essential that all children be allowed to participate in all games.
Objectives:
1. To have fun.
2. To build healthy bodies and minds.
3. To develop skills and proficiency in the sports we participate in.
4. To teach the concepts of teamwork, commitment, accountability, sportsmanship, loyalty, honesty, and pride.
5. To accomplish all of these things with the welfare of these student-athletes first and foremost, without adult ambition for personal glory.
Academic Goals: Xplosion Youth Sports supports the critical role that academics play in the development of our student athletes and recognizes the need to perform in the classroom as well as on the field. It is never the desire of Xplosion Youth Sports to have sports take precedence over school requirements. If a conflict should arise, please notify your coach immediately. We would ask that parents support this effort to encourage academic success for every player.
